Navigation on the Rhine

"The Rhine, Germany's river, not Germany's border." This is how the poet Ernst Moritz Arndt described it. In the immediate vicinity of the Eden Hotel FRÜH am Dom lies this impressive river, which flows through the middle of Cologne and divides the city into two parts. Even the Romans used the waterway as a transportation route.

Experience a unique view of Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town. Our cooperation partner is Köln Tourist Personenschifffahrt.

The Lindenthal animal park is a popular excursion destination for people from the surrounding area. With over 250 animals such as donkeys, sheep and goats, the popular leisure facility is a natural experience for the whole family. Plan half a day for this, as the grounds are not that big. This beautiful leisure facility is run by a non-profit association. The people of Cologne have been supporting "their zoo" with donations for many generations. You can buy suitable food at the zoo and feed the animals. But beware: there are also fasting days for the animals on which they are not allowed to be fed. Otherwise they get too fat. www.lindenthaler-tierpark.de
